What is it and how does it work? A Fund to support and assist registered members in the event of an accidental bodily injury during Gaelic Games playing activities. The Fund is not an insurance cover. All Persons participate in Gaelic Games activities at your own risk.
If you do not have your own Personal Cover (Private Health Insurance, Personal Accident insurance cover) The GAA have the GAA Injury Benefit Fund in place to assist If you have your own personal cover, you must submit a claim under that cover first and the Injury Fund will top up the shortfall to the fund benefit limits
Key Benefits – Medical \ Dental expenses – Maximum of €5,500, Loss of wages – weeks 2 – 26 to a maximum of €400 per week. Terms and Limits apply so please read the below document.

If you don’t have an active Foireann account, please contact your club registrar Claims must be reported within 60 days of the injury date to your GAA unit.
